The front office manager will be responsible for managing the front office department, reception area, coordinating all front desk activities, and supervising the support staff, compile reports for management, including occupancy reports, financial information, weekly forecast and managing OTAs

Providing leadership and support to all members of the department and will ensure that the hotel policies, procedures and standards are implemented and enforced in all areas
Managing the day to day operations of the Front Office department to ensure all aspects of the guest experience are delivered to the highest level
Ensuring the department runs at a profitable level by ensuring highest occupancies with the highest possible room rate
Ensuring that all revenue is captured accurately daily for both rooms and other revenues streams
Ensuring that Debtors accounts are kept within the required number of days and that “Outstanding” status accounts are addressed effectively and timeously
Ensuring effective liaison between reservations and front office staff with other departments (e.g. housekeeping)
Reviewing of the daily revenue reports and night audit before handing them to the General Manager for sign-off.
Ensuring that each employee’s Limits of Authority are clearly defined, understood, and upheld through appropriate systems, controls and policies and procedures
